Lightning Round: Sabres hire Lindy Ruff (again)

After Don Granato was relieved of his job as the Buffalo Sabres failed to meet expectations the Buffalo Sabres needed a new head coach. So they got one. One that they’re pretty familiar with. Lindy Ruff is returning to Western New York where he was behind the bench for 15 seasons and picked up 571 of his 864 career wins.

Following his first stint in Buffalo, the 64-year-old coached in Dallas and then New Jersey. Last season the Devils were 30-27-4 before he was let go and replaced by Travis Green. The former Jack Adams winner will meet the media today at 1:00 PM.
